Light of Peace for Africa Foundation with support from the Christian Association of Nigeria held a one day fasting and prayer session at baptist convention ground, TV road in Benin city, Edo State for a peaceful governorship election of the state holding on 19th of September 2020. The restoration Apostle Johnson Suleman graced the meeting as a speaker alongside his wife Dr. Lizzy Suleman.
The man of God shared briefly in his sermon titled ‘Nehemiah’s secret for impact’ with a redefined insight that leadership is about impact and a leader without impact is merely taking a walk, as making impact requires hard work. While Stressing on the secret of a good leadership, he stressed on the need to have a burden that drives you to positive accomplishment as it is the only way of making impact.
He also said in Nigeria the walls are broken down as the state of insecurity and scarcity is worsening on a daily, stating that the precedent this generation is setting is a shameful one. While Speaking on how the electoral process in Nigeria now seems like a war zone, seeing people selling their votes hence mortgaging their future, Leaders putting people on ground to take lives of the people they are supposed to govern and take care of, the only thing that can stop it is the emergence of a people that will run with a vision, a burden void of distraction, passion in leadership with the right team to see a turnaround in the state and nation.
Furthermore he commended the C.A.N/PFN for being a unified body of Christ that cannot be divided as a result of team work. He emphatically pondered on the need for christian leaders and government officials to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice which will go a long way savaging irregularities in the system by saying the truth and standing to defend the truth by producing leaders that can be accountable for their actions irrespective of what it cost. Conclusively, he led the congregation through a session of prayer for peace in the forthcoming governorship elections.
